The NRN was set up thanks to generous funding from the AHRC through the Student-led Initiatives Scheme. Thanks to this grant we were able to organise the network’s first PhD symposium, which took place on 9-10 September 2010 and was hosted by the Department of Scandinavian Studies at University College London. This blog-style website aims to continue the work started during the symposium. We hope it will become a virtual platform for PhD research in Scandinavian Studies in the UK that can be visible, easily traceable and reachable by British and foreign academic and non-academic institutions.
